Pieskowa Skała Castle
Pieskowa Skała Castle Ojcow - Way to the Pieskowa Skała Castle
This fascinating Renaissance Castle is built in an old forest on a 25 metre high rock, over the valley of the Pradnik river. The 14th century fortified castle was rebuilt in the 16th century into a Renaissance residence. Its
rooms contain a large collection of fine old furniture and interior
decoration, part of the National Wawel Art Collections. The castle gives
a magnificent view over the Ojcow National Park, which covers part of
Pradnik Valley and the adjoining areas. Among limestone rocks and lush forests natural formations hide rare fauna and flora.
Out of more than 200 caves nine have a length of more that 50 metres. Some are adapted to receive tourists.
